Unsightly amalgam (mercury) fillings have been used for over a hundred years, are outdated technology, and have been made completely redundant by the recent advances in adhesive dentistry that make composite and porcelain restorations the treatment of choice in every situation. Amalgam fillings can discolour and grey teeth significantly, and because they are not bonded to the surrounding tooth, they inherently weaken surrounding tooth structure and ultimately cause fractures.

White fillings not only make your teeth appear brighter and healthier, but they also have the added benefits of bonding to, and therefore strengthening your teeth.

For large fillings or treatment of cracked teeth, we also utilise the state of the art in dental cad-cam technology with the CEREC/CAD CAM system to create porcelain inlays and crowns in a single visit. These ceramic restorations are aesthetic, durable and dispense with the need for multiple appointments.
